Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Financial Planning: - Develop and implement long-term financial plans in alignment with the school's strategic goals. - Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at all school governance levels. 2. Budget Management: - Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget. - Prepare & present quarterly management accounts to the School Governing Body (SGB). 3. Fundraising: - Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support school programs and initiatives. - Cultivate relationships with sponsors, foundations, and other stakeholders to enhance fundraising efforts. 4. Investment Policies: - Establish and guide investment strategy in accordance with the schools financial objectives. - Manage and optimize the schools investment portfolio and allocate funds effectively. 5. Financial Reporting & Compliance: - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with the Schools Act & WCED Regulations. - Maintain robust internal controls and conduct risk assessments. 6. Collaboration: - Collaborate closely with the Headmaster, Board of Trustees, and other staff to drive financial and operational success. - Act as a financial advisor on key organizational and managerial decisions. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, CA(SA) qualification will be beneficial. - Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting. - Proven track record in strategic planning, fundraising, and investment management. - Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
