Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our clients mill operations, optimising production, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. With a focus on driving efficiency and sustainability. Client Details Our client is a large organisation within the FMCG sector, renowned for its innovative approach to sustainable solutions. With a global presence, they are a significant player in their sector, providing essential resources to a wide range of industries. Description This role will primarily be responsible for leading the Production, Engineering and Transport teams to drive consistently excellent performance in Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. You will ensure customer focus and partner with key stakeholders to address breakdowns or interruptions to production to minimise downtime. Ensure quality standards are met consistently. Lead and inspire a diverse team including production, engineering and transport and support staff Collaborate with other departments to align operations with overall business goals. Comply with all industry regulations and company policies. Report on mill performance and productivity. Manage budget and resources effectively. Profile A successful Operations Manager should have: Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field would be beneficial however not essential. Sound knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing / production environment. Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency. Job Offer A competitive salary range around £60-68k.
