Job Description

Job Title: Planner Location: Glasgow Salary: up to £65,000 DoE Package Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview: We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Planner to join our civil engineering team. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects by creating, maintaining, and updating project schedules and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely delivery across various infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage detailed project programmes using planning software (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project). Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting. Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes and risks. Conduct critical path analysis and identify key project milestones. Support tender planning and bid submissions. Prepare regular reports for internal teams and clients on progress and forecasting. Contribute to project review meetings and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. Requirements: Previous experience in a planning role within civil engineering or construction. Strong knowledge of planning software, ideally Primavera P6. Understanding of construction methods and project delivery phases. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Desirable: HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Experience working on highways, utilities, rail, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with NEC contracts and Earned Value Management.
