Interim Financial Accountant

Interim Financial Accountant job with a large Glasgow based establishment for an initial 9-month period with scope to become permanent. Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for: Supporting the production of annual financial statements for the organisation and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with UK and US GAAP Coordinating external audit planning and manage reporting timelines Leading accounting for endowment funds and associated investment assets Overseeing the fixed asset register, including capitalisation, depreciation, and disposals Managing insurance processes including policy renewals, claims, risk mitigation, and stakeholder liaison Performing key month-end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining financial records for subsidiary companies, including preparation for board reporting Submitting financial returns to regulatory bodies and responding to finance-related queries Supporting continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and contributing to strategic projects The Individual: Fully Qualified Accountant (e.g. ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) Strong up to date knowledge of the technical accounting environment in the UK Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Knowledge and experience of working in a large organisation is desirable Must be available within 4 weeks’ notice On Offer: Salary up to £49,500 p.a.
