Interim Financial Controller

They are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance operations for a six-month contract. This interim role will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance, while also supporting ongoing finance transformation projects. The role offers hybrid - three days from home. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day finance operations Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial and management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax reporting Maintain integrity of accounting systems Support and deputise for the Finance Director, including regulatory return sign-off Manage regulatory and statutory compliance, including FRS 102 Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and compliance with company policies Ensure robust financial controls, risk awareness, and adherence to FCA conduct requirements Background: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Experience in leading a financial control team Strong understanding of accounting regulations and financial risk management Advanced Excel and system/reporting skills Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in financial service Please apply to discuss.
