Production Engineer

The Company and Role Our client is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Production Design Engineer to join their production team. They are a well-established electronics manufacturer based in the High Wycombe area. Key Responsibilities This is a diverse role that encompasses all tasks required to enable and facilitate efficient and successful production. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Developing work procedures and issuing detailed work instructions. • Reviewing printed circuit board (PCB) designs • Programming SMT pick and place machines • Designing and assembling test jigs for productions • Building wiring harnesses for programming devices. • Troubleshooting production issues and identifying solutions. • Liaising with product designers as required. • Monitoring equipment functionality and resolving or escalating any performance issues. • Diagnosing and fault-finding failed devices. The Candidate Experience working in electronic production. A strong understanding of electronic circuits. Knowledge and experience in PCB design/layout. Previous experience with SMT/pick-and-place machinery. The ability to fault-find down to the component level. Ideally, an engineering qualification. The Package A salary of £35,000 - £50,000 is offered, depending on skills and experience.
