Import Operator – Freight Forwarding Location: [Felixstowe] Salary: Up to £35,000 benefits Full-time | Permanent Are you an experienced Import Operator with a strong background in ocean freight ? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset? If so, we want to hear from you. The Role: This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in import freight forwarding , particularly in deep-sea shipments . You’ll be responsible for managing the entire import process, ensuring shipments move efficiently from origin to destination while keeping customers informed every step of the way. Key Responsibilities: Managing FCL/LCL import shipments from start to finish Handling customs clearances via CDS, ensuring compliance with UK regulations Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas agents to coordinate deliveries Managing invoices, costings, and profit margins Resolving any issues or delays proactively to maintain service levels What We’re Looking For: Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean import operations within freight forwarding Strong understanding of CDS customs entries and UK import regulations Confident in dealing with carriers, suppliers, and customers Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once Knowledge of industry software (e.g., Destin8, CNS) is a plus Why Join Us?
