Manufacturing Process Engineer £40,000 (DOE) Rochdale Permanent Multi-Site Engineering & Manufacturing Company We are recruiting on behalf of a leading, independently owned engineering and manufacturing company with multiple sites across the UK. With over 40 years of industry success , this company supplies Tier 1 niche products to some of the world’s most well-known brands across industries including automotive and construction equipment . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a growing company that values innovation and continuous improvement. The successful Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a key role in optimising manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and supporting new product development . Manufacturing Process Engineer Key Responsibilities Work alongside the Senior Projects Engineer and support the Design & Commercial Engineer on new and existing product development. Liaise with Production and Quality teams to implement process improvements within agreed timeframes. Prepare New Product Implementation (NPI) reports , ensuring accurate project status updates. Maintain strict control over project documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures. Manage the sample process , ensuring accurate documentation is available within the company’s ERP system. Develop in-depth product and process knowledge , setting up Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing within the ERP system. Assist the Technical Sales team with costing and pricing for both existing and new products. Evaluate quoted vs actual production costs to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings. Required Manufacturing Process Engineer Experience & Qualifications Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (essential). Experience in plastics, moulding, and added-value processes (highly advantageous). Strong knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems (essential). Background in process improvement and continuous improvement (essential). Experience working within ISO 9001 (2015) or equivalent standards (advantageous). HND/Degree in Engineering or a related field (desirable). Manufacturing Process Engineer Key Skills Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems . Ability to work independently and adapt to business needs.
