Senior Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Main Contractor - Nottingham - Multi-Sector Projects - Hybrid Working Your new company You will be joining an established contractor based in Nottingham operating across the energy and utilities industries. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work and boasts an impressive list of high-profile clients. They have an excellent reputation in the civil engineering industry and offer excellent promotion prospects. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position based in their Nottingham office with the option for flexible working. Your new role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include: Leading all commercial aspects of assigned projects from pre-construction to final account Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and contractual obligations Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting Attending client meetings and liaising with stakeholders to ensure project alignment Preparing and managing interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Monitoring variations/change control and ensuring appropriate commercial recovery. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you must have: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Strong background in civil engineering, ideally in the energy or utilities industries Working knowledge of NEC contracts Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of cost/value management Full UK driving licence.
