Head of Finance – Automotive Business Location: Harrogate Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Car Allowance & Benefits Are you a commercially driven finance professional looking for an exciting leadership role in a fast-growing and entrepreneurial business? The role will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy, improving operational efficiency, and supporting key commercial initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing: Financial Strategy & Leadership – Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth. Provide commercial insights to Directors, influencing key decisions and performance improvements. Financial Management & Reporting – Oversee financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, credit control, and cash flow management. Prepare accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and financial forecasts to drive decision-making. Process & Compliance – Ensure robust financial controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance. Lead the annual audit process and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance – Support pricing strategies, cost analysis, and margin improvement initiatives. Work closely with operational teams to optimise working capital, stock control, and financial planning. Team Leadership & Development – Manage and mentor a growing finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and implementing best practices. What We’re Looking For: A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a senior finance role. Proven track record in financial leadership, ideally within a fast-moving or high-growth industry. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and business performance. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Experience in the automotive sector would be an advantage but not essential. What’s in It for You?
