Job Description Job Description As a Site Civil Engineer, you will lead projects with a focus on ownership of the permitting and land use processes. This position also entails leading and overseeing design calculations, drafting, and production within AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will act as a leader within the team, helping to mentor junior staff. Deliver Results Develop reports and preliminary concepts and full design phase deliverables including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, technical reports, narratives, and permit applications. Supervise and prepare calculations and analyses for stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer, water supply and distribution, roadways and traffic signal design. Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications and coordinating with the design team. Use design software/technology, including AutoCAD 3D, HEC RAS, EPANET, MicroStation and other emerging technologies for presentation and production purposes. Prepare Construction Permitting documents. Participate in field investigations and the process to diagnose problems. Perform field inspection services for conformance to plans and specifications and preparation of reports as a follow up. Produce contract documents and design analysis that is efficient and consistent with the scope of work, schedule, and fee allotted to complete the work. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current license OR ability to obtain PE license. 8 years of post-graduate civil experience with a wide variety of project types. Ability to travel regionally or nationally up to 10% of the time. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Valid driver's license and good driving record, with no driving or other infractions that would preclude insurability. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load and unload vehicle, and drive personal vehicle. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. NCEES registration and NSPE membership. CSI-CDT certification. LEED AP BDC and WELL AP certification. Experience presenting to planning commissions or jurisdictions highly preferred. Experience with sustainable or green infrastructure projects. Experience in HEC RAS or EPANET (water distribution). Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
