TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Newport, Vermont, 05855 Pay Information $2,002 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 143 Days Shift: Nights 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required License: Nursing license with no hits accepted Certifications: Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) preferred; Cerner EMR experience required Must-Have: Own vehicle required Job Description: • This international nursing opportunity requires working in a small, tight-knit community. Candidates should be caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor, birth, and post-partum complications and treatments. • Assess and monitor the condition of pregnant patients before, during, and after childbirth. • Assist doctors and midwives with the delivery of babies. • Administer medication and conduct necessary medical procedures under the direction of healthcare providers. • Coach mothers during labor, including breathing and relaxation techniques. • Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, monitor vital signs, and assist with breastfeeding. • Communicate with patients and their families, explain procedures, and provide emotional support. • Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records. • Operate and monitor medical equipment such as fetal monitors. • Identify any complications or emergencies and respond swiftly. • Educate parents about newborn care, including bathing, feeding, and cord care. • Possess strong clinical assessment and communication skills. • Remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. • Commit to patient-centered care and a positive birthing experience. • Incorporate evidence-based best practices into daily settings. • May float to non-complex overflow patients within the scope of practice.
