Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 9 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit. This role involves utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education. The RN will effectively communicate important patient and family information to the healthcare team, participate in problem-solving for patient care variances, and ensure the implementation of appropriate solutions. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a general Medical-Surgical unit. Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services. Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. BLS certification from AHA. Preferred Skills & Experience: At least 1 year of experience working on a surgical floor. Additional Requirements: Candidates may be required to float as needed. The location is acuity-adaptable and may require floating to a lockdown unit. Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. May be required to float to an equal or lower acuity unit if requested.
