We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate School Counsellor to join our dedicated team. Support academic attainment by helping students develop confidence, resilience and motivation To help students develop emotionally so as to make a valuable contribution to society Provide age-appropriate counselling designed to support learning and development of individuals and groups in order to improve social skills, self-awareness and learning capacity Provide professional psycho-educational advice to teaching staff as part of holistic approach to school support Promote positive mental health and a feeling of well-being within the school Collaborate with pastoral and safeguarding teams, families, and external professionals Maintain confidential and accurate records in line with safeguarding policies Qualified in counselling, psychotherapy, or a related field Minimum of 2 years' counselling experience, ideally with under-18s Experienced in both individual and group support settings Knowledgeable about safeguarding practices and working within a team environment Skilled in a range of counselling techniques and maintaining professional boundaries A full time, temporary contract with full obligation to attend all staff meetings and Professional Learning workshops Interesting position in an international environment An attractive salary – BSB Learning & Teaching – Band 3 representing a minimum of € 55.105 and maximum € 78.447 gross per year, (full-time, pro-rated for part-time roles) depending on the years of relevant experience) Interesting extra-legal benefits including extra pension payments, paid school holidays, luncheon vouchers, free use of the BSB sport facilities Self motivated, Counselling, Teaching, Schools, School supporting, Wellbeing Support, Stress tolerance, Social Skills, Holistic care, Safeguarding, Safeguarding Policy, Knowledgeable, Psychotherapy, Mental Health, Learning support, Group support, Design
