Designation : Quality Assurance Lead Location : Hyderabad, Mumbai Bonus & Incentives : 10% Performance-Based Bonus Experience Required : 8 to 12 Years Industry : Accounting Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Leader to spearhead manual and automation testing efforts across ongoing operations and major transformation programs. The role requires a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to ensuring that all IT deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, functionality, and compliance. This position is suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings, possess a sharp analytical mindset, and can collaborate across functional teams. Youll work closely with tax domain experts and contribute to the enhancement of testing protocols for both functional and non-functional aspects of enterprise software solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Lead QA initiatives targeting software products tailored to U.S. clients, particularly in the tax domain. - Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for tax systems, ensuring alignment with U.S. federal and state regulatory standards. - Execute validation of tax computations, filing logic, and compliance parameters as per IRS and state guidelines. - Drive testing efforts across tax engines, e-filing modules, and reporting interfaces to guarantee robustness and accuracy. - Collaborate with global QA and tax teams to shape quality benchmarks and manage defect resolution cycles. - Build and manage reusable, scalable automation frameworks alongside manual testing methodologies. - Mentor a cross-border QA team, comprising both internal resources and contract staff. - Work closely with automation engineers to develop test scripts and optimize regression cycles. - Participate in quality reviews, assess internal control effectiveness, and evaluate compliance measures. - Maintain documentation and user guides for test protocols, ensuring easy handovers and stakeholder clarity. - Keep pace with emerging QA practices, technology trends, and evolving tax domain standards. Required Skills & Qualifications : - At least 5 years of focused software testing experience, with deep familiarity in domain-specific scenarios. - Demonstrated knowledge of tax-specific QA for U.S.-based clients preferred. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and test automation tools such as Selenium and Appium. - Strong understanding of QA life cycle, including test strategy, case design, execution, and defect tracking. - Excellent problem-solving aptitude and an eye for operational detail. - Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience, including with SMEs and business stakeholders. - ISTQB certification and experience in Agile/DevOps environments would be advantageous. - Proven ability to lead and scale a QA function in distributed or hybrid teams.
