Senior Cloud Data Architect

CONTEXT: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our growing data management team. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Management, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting the definition and deployment of a cutting-edge cloud data ecosystem, enabling an advanced data intelligence platform. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our data strategy and drive innovation within the organization. MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design, configure, and deploy robust and scalable cloud data architectures on major cloud providers to address diverse data management use cases. - Implement data governance principles and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. - Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate cloud-based data services and tools. - Develop and maintain data integration and analytics workload optimizing for performance and efficiency. - Manage the lifecycle of data workloads, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Contribute to the development of our overall cloud data strategy and roadmap. - Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud data technologies and trends. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud data architectures, particularly within the GCP environment. - Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices. - Demonstrated proficiency in developing batch and event-driven data processing architectures using established architectural patterns. - Mastering scalable data management frameworks like Spark, Flink and Beam, with proven experiences in full data lifecycle management. - Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing. - Proficiency in SQL, Spark, PySpark, Beam SDK, Flink SDK and other data management languages and frameworks. - Proven experience leading teams responsible for delivering complex architectural landscapes and development teams implementing sophisticated analytical workloads using the aforementioned languages and frameworks. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Experience with data visualization tools. - Experience with data science and machine learning workflows is a plus. - Certifications on Cloud Hyperscaler and Data Management Technologies is a plus. LANGUAGES: Fluent written and spoken English and Italian are mandatory.
