Civil Engineer

Civil Structural Engineer required for new office launch in Nottingham. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Power Civils team as a Civil Engineer. The role involves working closely with other disciplines on various new-build substations, substation upgrades/extensions and other electrical infrastructure, e.g. onshore wind farms and solar farms. Outline requirements: HND or degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering. Ideally IEng or CEng with membership of relevant professional engineering institution, e.g. ICE, IStructE. 2-4 years civil/structural design experience on substation projects Experience of working within Electrical Transmission and Distribution sectors. Good understanding of CDM requirements. Good understanding of UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation and requirements. Good knowledge of National Grid's Transmission Procedures. To supervise and mentor others. Other requirements: 40 hrs/week. Location: Ideally based within commutable distance to Nottingham. We operate a hybrid home-office working arrangement, 3 days per week in office. Start date: asap. Salary up to £40K-£50K for a graduate engineer with 2-4 years experience.
