Job Description
Mechanical Construction Manager Building Services Contractor Freelance (CIS or Limited) Central London A leading, global construction and consultancy firm with a reputation for delivering some of the world’s most complex and iconic projects in sectors such as healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a £150M healthcare development located near King's Cross, London . This prestigious project, which has 18–24 months remaining, will deliver cutting-edge healthcare facilities that will have a lasting impact on the local community. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the mechanical installation and commissioning across the project, ensuring adherence to all technical, safety, and quality standards Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery Take responsibility for the management of all mechanical aspects of the project, from early design through to final handover Monitor and enforce health and safety requirements across the site Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with regulatory standards Act as the key point of contact for mechanical issues and ensure effective problem-solving throughout the project Prepare reports and attend regular meetings with senior stakeholders Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within healthcare, Pharmaceuticals or large-scale projects Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and public health Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers and subcontractors Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills SMSTS, CSCS (black or gold), and ideally First Aid certifications For more information, please e-mail Megan.Fieldpeoplegroup.com
