IT Support Apprentice Synium IT Are you passionate about technology and ready to take your first step into the world of IT support? Synium IT is offering an exciting IT Support Apprenticeship where you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside a team of friendly, knowledgeable professionals (and a couple of fantastic office dogs). Based in a modern, air-conditioned office in Solihull, Synium IT is a trusted provider of fully managed IT services and support for small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. A Typical Day in the Job: Answering incoming support calls and logging details of support tickets. Providing 1st line support for software, hardware, and operating systems. Troubleshooting PC, laptop, network, and peripheral issues (e.g., printers, scanners, Wi-Fi). Setting up and installing new PCs and laptops. Supporting user onboarding and offboarding. Carrying out password resets and troubleshooting MFA issues. Performing regular system health checks and software upgrades. Maintaining up-to-date system documentation. Monitoring ticket progress and ensuring excellent customer service throughout. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and by the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge: A genuine interest in IT and a willingness to learn new technologies. Energetic, organised, and motivated with a can-do attitude. Friendly, professional, and confident in communicating with clients. A team player with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong documentation and organisational skills. Basic understanding of Microsoft software, Windows OS, and system checks (preferred but not required). A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £14,500 to £18,500 per annum. Monday to Thursday: 8:30am 5:00pm, Friday: 8:30am 4:00pm. Structured training plan through a recognised apprenticeship provider. On-the-job learning from experienced IT professionals. Modern, air-conditioned office in Solihull.
