Job Description
Job Location : Navi Mumbai Years of Experience : 8 Years Mandatory Skills : RAC, ASM, Golden Gate, Data Guard, Data Pump, Performance Tuning, Core DBA Job Description : Mandatory Skills : - Extensive experience in the architecture, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Oracle RAC environments. - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Oracle ASM, including disk group creation and management, rebalancing, and troubleshooting ASM-related issues. - Proven ability to configure, implement, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data replication and high availability. - Strong expertise in implementing and managing Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery, including switchovers, failovers, and configuration of physical and logical standby databases. - Proficient in using Oracle Data Pump for performing high-speed database backups, restores, and migrations. - Deep understanding of Oracle database internals and advanced skills in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks at the database and SQL level. - Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques. - Solid foundation in core Oracle database administration tasks, including installation, patching, upgrades, user and security management, backup and recovery strategies, and general database : - Create, update, and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for Oracle database-related issues, solutions, and best practices. - Regularly check and implement Oracle database best practices to ensure optimal performance, security, and stability. - Perform database cloning activities for supported assets as per requirements. - Plan and update backup and restoration policies for existing Oracle assets to ensure data recoverability. - Conduct capacity planning related to the Oracle database environment, including forecasting growth and recommending necessary upgrades. - RAC Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Oracle RAC environments, ensuring high availability. - Database Crash/Rebuild : Handle database crashes and perform rebuilds as necessary due to incidents, ensuring minimal downtime. - Investigate and resolve issues related to unexpected Oracle instance hangs or terminations. - Perform DR (Disaster Recovery) reconfiguration for existing Oracle setups as required. - Conduct thorough database impact analysis in case of major infrastructure activities or application changes. - Configure and perform database flashback operations for point-in-time recovery. - Analyze and resolve Oracle (ORA) errors related to performance, escalating to the vendor appropriately when necessary. - Provide detailed root cause analysis for critical database incidents and problems. - Start and stop Oracle database, ASM, and RAC services as needed. - Perform Golden Gate setup, configuration, and troubleshoot replication issues. - Plan and execute DR drills and backup restoration drills to validate recovery procedures. - Prepare comprehensive Root Cause Analysis reports for Major Incidents affecting the Oracle database environment. - Analyze recurring incidents and alerts to identify underlying problems and implement permanent solutions. - Evaluate and implement performance tuning suggestions provided by Oracle OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager). - Update and maintain documentation related to database availability and capacity management. - Perform risk analysis related to the Oracle database environment and provide mitigation planning. - Participate in Continual Service Improvement planning and execute identified improvements. - Plan and execute DR Drills based on the availability of the DR setup and documented recovery procedures. - Prepare, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Knowledge Base (KBase). - Maintain and update Infra AS IS documentation and other relevant infrastructure documents. - Adhere to and participate in Incident, Problem, and Change management processes. - Perform reinstallation and configuration of servers hosting Oracle databases when required due to incidents. - Apply and create custom and new security policies as needed. - Analyze blocked rules related to database security. - Perform IP blocking as per security requirements. - Participate in firmware upgrade activities related to the database infrastructure. - Plan and execute version upgrades for DAM (Data Access Management) Oracle databases. - Perform DR build and drill activities for DAM Oracle as per schedule. - Conduct capacity planning for DAM Oracle environments. - Adhere to the organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS) policy. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant Oracle certifications (Oracle Certified Professional - OCP) are highly preferred. - Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix) and storage technologies. - Familiarity with ITIL framework and processes. - Excellent understanding of database security principles and best practices (ref:hirist.tech)
