Job Description
Job Location : Navi Mumbai Years of Experience : 5 Years Job Description : Responsibilities : - Serve as a primary point of contact for storage-related issues, collaborating with vendors for efficient ticket logging, tracking resolution progress, receiving timely updates, and escalating when necessary. - Proactively manage the storage environment by preparing and maintaining a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance calendar and conducting regular reviews of Network Attached Storage (NAS) access control mechanisms. - Administer and oversee the lifecycle management of Storage Volumes, Logical Unit Numbers (LUNs), Aggregates, Pools, S3 buckets, and ensure adherence to defined Storage service levels. - Manage the configuration and maintenance of RAID or Array groups to ensure data redundancy and availability, as well as the provisioning and configuration of S3 buckets for object storage needs. - Perform in-depth analysis of diagnostic event logs to identify potential issues, conduct thorough troubleshooting to resolve incidents, and perform space utilization trend analysis to forecast future storage requirements. - Administer zoning configurations within the Storage Area Network (SAN) environment, prepare detailed Method of Implementation Records (MIR) for all major incidents, and meticulously review checklists to ensure operational compliance. - Conduct comprehensive analysis of repeat incidents and alerts to identify underlying causes and implement preventative measures, manage digital certificates for secure communication, and oversee the planning and execution of SAN fabric expansions. - Continuously monitor the health and performance of storage application-specific suites, proactively identifying and addressing any potential issues, and generate detailed capacity management reports to support strategic planning. - Efficiently fulfill incident, request, and change management tasks in accordance with established ITIL processes and seamlessly integrate new storage devices into existing monitoring and management tools. - Maintain the integrity and connectivity of the SAN infrastructure, manage storage and SAN upgrades to ensure systems are up-to-date and performing optimally, and handle data migration projects with minimal disruption. - Conduct monthly analysis of support call data to identify trends and areas for improvement in storage operations and manage the reconfiguration of replication technologies as needed. - Perform regular audits of administrator accounts to ensure security best practices are followed and manage Snapshot and SnapMirror technologies for efficient data protection and disaster recovery capabilities. - Prepare comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for all major incidents to document findings and preventative actions, and proactively analyze recurring incidents and alerts to implement permanent solutions. - Implement performance tuning recommendations as suggested by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to optimize the performance and efficiency of the storage infrastructure. - Maintain and update critical documentation including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Critical Function Impact Analysis (CFIA), availability reports, and capacity management documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. - Perform thorough risk analysis of the storage environment, develop effective mitigation plans to address identified risks, and implement these plans to minimize potential impact. - Actively participate in and execute continual service improvement plans to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and overall quality of the storage services. - Plan, coordinate, and conduct Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to validate recovery procedures, and prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the knowledge base to ensure consistent and efficient operations. - Maintain and update Infra AS IS documentation and other relevant infrastructure documents to provide a comprehensive overview of the storage environment. - Oversee the entire incident, problem, and change management lifecycle, including the management of all minor and major updates and upgrades to the storage : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and administering enterprise-level storage environments, with a strong focus on NetApp technologies. - In-depth knowledge of storage concepts, including RAID, LUNs, zoning, replication, and snapshots. - Hands-on experience with managing NetApp FAS series filers, aggregates, volumes, and quotas. - Proven ability to troubleshoot complex storage-related issues and perform root cause analysis. - Experience with S3 bucket provisioning and configuration. - Familiarity with SAN fabric technologies and management. - Understanding of ITIL framework and experience with incident, request, and change management processes. - Experience with capacity planning and performance monitoring of storage systems. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as required. - Relevant certifications (NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
