Job Location : Navi Mumbai Years of Experience : 5 Years Job Description : Responsibilities : - Design, install, configure, and maintain a diverse range of middleware technologies including WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, JBOSS, Apache Tomcat, IIS, OHS (Oracle HTTP Server), Nginx, IBM WAS (WebSphere Application Server), and WebSphere MQ. - Manage and support other messaging and application server technologies as required by the business. - Ensure the high availability and optimal performance of the middleware environment through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning. - Implement and manage clustering, load balancing (using technologies like HAProxy), and failover configurations for critical middleware components. - Perform regular health checks, patching, and upgrades of middleware components in accordance with security best practices and vendor recommendations. - Troubleshoot complex middleware-related issues, including application deployment failures, performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities. - Utilize monitoring tools such as BTOM, Dynatrace, and Oracle Enterprise Management to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. - Analyze thread dumps and heap dumps using relevant analyzers to diagnose and resolve performance problems and memory leaks. - Implement and maintain robust security measures for the middleware environment, including access controls, SSL/TLS configurations, and security patches. - Collaborate with application development teams for deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting of applications running on the middleware infrastructure. - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for middleware configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. - Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity exercises for the middleware environment. - Automate routine middleware administration tasks using scripting languages or automation tools. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in middleware technologies and recommend improvements to our existing infrastructure. - Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for critical middleware systems. - Adhere to established change management processes for all modifications to the middleware environment. - Collaborate with other infrastructure teams, such as network, database, and operating system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the overall IT : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in administering and supporting various middleware technologies, including a strong focus on at least three of the following: WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, JBOSS, Apache Tomcat, IIS, OHS, Nginx, IBM WAS, WebSphere MQ. - Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the listed middleware technologies in complex enterprise environments. - Solid understanding of clustering, load balancing (including HAProxy), and high availability concepts and their implementation in middleware environments. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization of middleware components. - Proficiency in using monitoring tools such as BTOM, Dynatrace, and Oracle Enterprise Management for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. - Experience in analyzing thread and heap dumps using relevant analyzers to diagnose performance issues. - Strong understanding of security principles and best practices related to middleware administration. - Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python) for automation of administrative tasks. - Familiarity with application deployment processes and methodologies. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management processes. - Relevant certifications in middleware technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified WebLogic Server Administrator, Red Hat Certified JBoss Administrator, IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
