About the Role About the role: Joining the Digital & Technology - Compute and Storage team, the main purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of the Microsoft and Linux Server estate across the SSP Group Plc On-premise Data Centres and Cloud. You will be responsible for testing and installation of security updates, working with business application owners to establish proactive maintenance windows, preparing documentation and change management forms. As part of the Compute and Storage team, you will be mentored and provided with a variety of tools to support you in your activities. What youll be doing: Testing and deployment of Security Updates within best practise frameworks and industry standards. Create Sandbox environments to test updates and backup/restore processes. Liaise with business change programmes to ensure appropriate maintenance windows are built into the Service Design. Maintain and prepare data for monthly reports on the update status of the Server Estate. Identify services suitable for automatic deployment of patches and updates. Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles. Participate in Change Approval processes, providing written documentation including risk analysis, technical implement steps and roll back plans. To be successful in this role you will need: Windows Server 2003 to 2022 Veeam Backup and Replication Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Windows Server Update Services Kaseya VSA Qualys Vulnerability Scanner Documentation writing ADZN1_UKTJ
