Data Engineer

Data Engineer Salary : £50,000 - £60,000 Location : Salisbury – SP1 (or within 50 miles) Work Type : Hybrid (2 days office) About the Role We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our innovative team at an exciting phase of our growth. As the first member of our data team, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a data warehouse that supports our pricing, BI, and MI functions. You'll also develop complex datasets and pipelines to serve various business teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our pricing team, in-house development team, analysts, and team leaders to understand their needs and recommend and implement effective data solutions. What We're Looking For We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual with the following qualifications: - Strong technical expertise in Python, Spark, Pandas, SQL, NoSQL - Extensive experience with modern database platforms such as Cosmos, Athena, and MySQL - Proficiency in both NoSQL and relational database design - Advanced skills in Airflow - Comfortable working independently within a small team - Solid understanding of AWS and Azure architecture Experience with machine learning projects and platforms such as Sagemaker or Azure ML is a plus but not mandatory.
