Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant for that will report to the Director of Tax and Fixed Assets. The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for managing the company's fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets throughout their lifecycle. The Senior Fixed Assets Accountant will collaborate closely with various departments to maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Responsibilities Maintain fixed assets records processing additions, retirements, and transfers between locations. Run depreciation projections and books actual depreciation. Perform month-end accounting close activities for fixed assets. Prepare data and analyze for external auditors. Leverage system knowledge to analyze data. Maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies and with GAAP. Assumes additional responsibilities and assists with special projects as needed or directed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in related field. Excellent written/verbal communication skills Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or audit Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities effectively. Maintains a professional, positive, and tactful demeanor with clients and customers. Sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with internal and external customers. Advanced Microsoft Office skills including proficiency with Excel. Experience with SAGE Fixed Assets (“FAS”) a plus. Experience working with accounting software and systems, Great Plains experience desirable. Strong attention to detail. Self-starter Experience working with US retail/franchise business models. Healthcare or Dental Company experience a plus
